The homes will be spread across two blocks: one a nine-storey building, the other a seven-storey construction.
The scheme is being designed by architects Fletcher-Rae, which has been working with planning consultants Euan Kellie Property Solutions.
Fletcher Rae has also worked with planning services firm, Urban Vision, on the proposal.
Urban Vision is a joint venture partnership between Salford City Council, Capita and Galliford Try which provides services in planning and building control, highways and infrastructure as well as property and regeneration.

Andrew Rae, co-founder at Fletcher Rae, said: “It’s been a rigorous process leading up to this point, we’ve worked closely with the Urban Vision planning team to align our proposal with the overarching regeneration masterplan for Ordsall Lane.
“The new development will act as a catalyst for a new transit link between Manchester and Salford via Worrall Street, as well as encourage further development in an area that’s presently underused.”
Selectric has two manufacturing and distribution facilities; one of which is on the site it is set to redevelop, while the other is nearby on Cow Lane.
The manufacturer is also looking for a new warehouse in Salford to co-locate the sites.
Selectric will relocate staff at both facilities prior to work starting on the residential development.
